Dear AWC Friends,
Happy Chuseok to you and your families. The Chuseok holiday is considered to be one of the biggest holidays in Korea. It is similar to the American Thanksgiving, where many gather with family and travel all over the country to be together.
AWC is fortunate to serve as a “family” to many who do not have relatives here in Seoul, offering opportunities to develop friendships and build community. This October, we have planned nine different activities and events to choose from. Please see the schedule below. We hope to connect with you during one of our activities.
The month of October also serves as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. AWC will hold its annual breast cancer walk on October 24. We will also offer a CPR certification training on October 25 to commemorate the victims of last year’s Itaewon Halloween tragedy.
Lastly, please save the date and join us for another spectacular AWC Charity Gala, to be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, January 13, at the Grand Hyatt Seoul. It is set to be another amazing event! Look out for details soon on early bird tickets.
