Show support
We believe in celebrating differences and providing a space where we can support and empower each other. We ask that members show kindness and respect, both to each other and to non-members.
Per our mission statement, AWC Korea aims to be a space for meaningful connections. To ensure that we remain a diverse, supportive, and welcoming community, we ask that our members and guests abide by the guidelines below.
We believe in celebrating differences and providing a space where we can support and empower each other. We ask that members show kindness and respect, both to each other and to non-members.
AWC Korea reserves the right to remove inappropriate online posts, comments or messages from our platforms without prior notice. We ask that members refrain from sending inappropriate messages or emails to our club emails, to our board, to our committees, and to fellow club members. Examples of inappropriate posts, messages, emails include but are not limited to threats, trolling, insults, bullying, personal attacks, profane or vulgar language, or the sharing of personal information, such as personal stories or screenshots from discussions.
If you have an event, offering or business to promote, we’re excited to hear about it! To help keep our social platforms organized, we ask that you please reach out to a member of AWC’s board or committees before posting your promotion.
If you're unable to attend an event for which you've RSVP’d, please let the host know as soon as possible. This small but considerate step helps us to better use our resources and to offer opportunities to others. It also shows respect for the time and effort our hosts put into each event.
To maintain fairness and sustainability, we ask that payments be made prior to events (or by the deadline indicated), ideally via bank transfer. In the event that a fee must be paid in cash, we ask that this be done ASAP and before the event begins.
Due to the nature of event planning, we generally do not offer refunds for event fees. In some instances, however, you may be able to transfer your registration to someone else if you are unable to attend; please contact your host.
Non-members are welcome to attend up to two of our regular events. After that, we invite you to officially join the AWC family by applying for membership! Note: Our annual gala and coffee mornings are always open to the public.
Membership in AWC Korea is at the discretion of the Board of Directors. The Board reserves the right to approve, deny, or decline new or renewal membership applications to ensure the well-being of the club and alignment with our Community Guidelines. All membership decisions made by the Board are final.
Failure to follow AWC Korea’s community guidelines may result in removal from events, exclusion from future events, and suspension or cancellation of membership. We appreciate your attention and support in helping us to foster and maintain a space for engagement, learning and positive impact.
